Will Firefly publish an article automatically?

No. A new article remains a Shopify draft until you choose Publish now or create a schedule. If publishing approval is enforced, changed content must be approved again before publication.

Do I need an Online Store?

Yes, to use Firefly’s theme app embed and storefront article blocks. Article planning and editing happen in Shopify admin, while the storefront enhancements render on Online Store blog article templates.

How does the 14-day trial work?

An eligible merchant can receive one 14-day trial on the first paid subscription. Switching plan or billing interval does not restart the trial.

Do text and images use separate balances?

No. Managed text and image generation use one shared Firefly Token balance. Purchased add-on Tokens do not expire and do not unlock subscription-only features.

What happens when generation fails?

Failed or undelivered managed operations are not finally charged. Firefly reserves capacity before a request, records confirmed successful usage, and refunds or recovers an undelivered result.

Do I need to connect my own AI provider?

No. Every plan can use Firefly’s managed service within its available Token balance. Pro can optionally connect supported providers; those custom-provider calls do not deduct Firefly Tokens, while provider fees are billed directly by that provider.

What happens to my content after a downgrade?

Existing articles, images, versions, advanced blocks, schedules, and translations are retained. Paid-only creation or editing is restricted by the active plan, while retained schedules can be cancelled and published translations can be removed.

Can Firefly translate an article?

Pro can create and review translations for Shopify store languages, then publish immediately or schedule them after the source article is live.
